- Media
As part of the course, Tranmere Rovers FC has started an U21s and U23s team, which plays in both the competitive North West League and the National Youth League.
Learners have the opportunity to train regularly and play competitive football supported by a UEFA qualified coaches who have played the game at a professional level alongside studying for their degree.
The course has been running for five years and has been a huge success. It is the first of its kind in the Merseyside region and provides a well rounded footballing education, covering topics such as performance analysis, sport psychology, coaching, physiotherapy, nutrition and club management, all of which are studied in a professional sporting environment.
The course combines theoretical study with enrichment sessions, also providing the opportunity for the teams to train at the Campus Training Ground and play highly competitive games against professional clubs. There is also the chance of potentially breaking through to represent the Club's reserve team.
Not only focused on players, the course will also provide opportunities for learners to specialise in non-playing areas at Tranmere Rovers, such as physiotherapy, strength and conditioning, coaching, scouting, analysis and sports nutrition.
