Tooting & Mitcham United

VLUK Tooting and Mitcham FC Campus is now in its 13th year and has seen over 700 learners graduate in that time.

Learners have graduated to football professionally and semi-professionally, with clubs such as Middlesbrough, Charlton and Reading. Approximately 20 players have progressed to our own first team and more into our U23s squad.

We have also seen learners progress into scholarship programmes in America and go to University to study a number of subjects including sport and journalism.

The Programme looks at every learner as an individual and encourages each to achieve their own goals and potential.

Apart from an intense training schedule delivered by UEFA B coaches we assist with life skills, enrichment programmes and mentoring for every learner. We understand that to ensure our coaching is appreciated and purposeful the whole person, mind and body must be engaged.

We learn from our young people every year and adapt our delivery to ensure all concerns both from the student athlete and parents are heard and responded to.

Our lead enrichment officer, is also our 1st Team Manager, and believes a clear pathway must be established in order to create realistic aspirations, promised by many, but delivered by few.
