Our Academy is designed to aid and support those learners wishing to continue pursuing a career in sport with a programme of structured training and developmental sessions, with the clear aim of enhancing the learners individual and team skills. In addition to outstanding classroom education, our programme is unrivalled in its work-based learning enrichment experiences that prepare students for both the workplace and university.

Alongside their football playing curriculum, all students will be afforded the opportunity to develop their coaching and wider skills within the academy, our wider football club and local schools programme. Learners will be given the opportunity to complete their FA Level One in coaching; an extracurricular course that informs learners of the technical demands of a coach whilst training them in safeguarding and administering first aid.

Our close working relationship with Long Eaton United Football Club’s Youth Section, our local schools programme and the organisation and planning of a wide range of charitable events, both sporting and otherwise, has opened up numerous working opportunities for our learners that help develop their skills as individuals and team members both inside and outside the sporting environment. Ultimately, the skills acquired and knowledge gained will equip each of our learners to better understand and be suitably prepared for the requirements of their chosen future workplace or university as well as their football career going forwards.
