We are delighted to announce that we will be running a new, two-year, full time football and education programme for 16-19-year olds from September 2021. You will now be able to study for a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Sport and Physical Activity (up to 280 UCAS points) whilst undertaking a full-time academy training programme under UEFA B/A coaches at Folkestone Invicta FC which is fully funded by the Government.

The Folkestone Invicta Scholarship Programme will include:

  • A full-time football program operating during school hours
  • Training under the guidance of FA and UEFA qualified coaches with professional Football Academy experience
  • Training on state-of-the-art 3G
  • Matches played at the BuildKent Stadium
  • All matches filmed with post-match detailed tactical analysis sessions
  • Individual player development plans
  • A first-class education
  • Work experience, volunteering, and employment opportunities
  • Entry into appropriate leagues and opportunities to play against other pro and semi-pro academies
  • Guest lectures from sports sector professionals
  • Access to coaching qualifications
  • A strength & conditioning programme
  • Playing kit and training wear
  • Visits to Canterbury Christ Church University’s Sports Lab
  • Opportunities to visit professional Football grounds and play academy teams
  • Realistic chance of first team Football
  • Exit routes into paid employment and/or semi and professional Football
  • Links to US Colleges to play abroad

As well as so much more.

This programme is unique as we have coaches who have worked in professional football academies and so bring a professionalism, experience, and extensive knowledge to the programme. It also allows us to play games against professional football club teams and offer players an experience not available elsewhere within the County.
