Edge Performance Academy

EDGE Performance Academy is a full-time Post 16 Academy working in partnership with VLUK Education to offer courses in Acting and Musical Theatre. Studying at EDGE is all about reaching your full potential. Our students participate in rigorous full-time training of 30+ hours a week on their chosen pathway. Over 2 years, students will complete a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing Arts in either an Acting or Musical Theatre specialism, which is equivalent to 3 A Levels.

In addition to this qualification, our students have the opportunity to work towards a number of others including: LAMDA performance exams, LCM singing and music grades, IDTA dance grades and teaching qualifications. Students receive all of this on top of an extensive programme of training by industry practitioners, workshops and masterclasses by top West End and TV/Film professionals, a personalised fitness and nutrition plan, rigorous audition preparation, and careers/UCAS/progression advice. Our goal is to ensure the best possible chance of securing top Drama School and University places, and the best preparation for a successful career in the Performing Arts

In addition to our full time (30+ hours) training programme, EDGE students also have access to our wide range of evening and weekend dance, theatre, and music tuition at a discounted rate. This includes 1:1 singing and musical instrument tuition, 1:1 and group dance classes and grades, participation in our weekend theatre school, and much more.

EDGE Performance Academy is based at Space2B Studios in Melton Mowbray; a recently renovated, fully equipped multi studio Performing Arts and Music centre. From September 2022, EDGE will also boast a purpose designed college building on the Space2B site which will include dedicated changing areas, student kitchen, common room and study area.
