FA Trophy Comes to Harrogate Town

Posted on

VLUK are exceptionally proud of our students at Harrogate Town on bringing home the FA Trophy. The competition had been carried over from the 2019/20 season which had been postponed for a year due to COVID-19.

On Monday 3rd May Harrogate Town made their way to Wembley to take on Concord Rangers in the Buildbase FA Trophy with a 5pm kick-off. After 76 minutes, Harrogate's Captain Josh Falkingham, who is also head of BTEC recruitment, scored what was to become the winning goal in the Final.

On winning Harrogate Town became the first club in the Football League to win the FA Trophy as the competition is usually only open to teams below the Football League, which Harrogate were in when the competition started.
